【Shidoyaki】 Cast copper whose surface is covered with red and purple markings drawn by flames is called hanshido. The prototype is made of wax and the mold is made of clay making it an environmentally friendly manufacturing method that produces almost no waste. Shido-yaki which does not use a catalyst is also called ``hon-yaki"" and is a traditional technique that can only be applied to copper castings. The tastefully colored markings are an art created by the combination of fire wind copper earth and people. The beautiful markings which seem to represent the moment of each person"s life are unique and cannot be created intentionally. That"s why its beauty stands out. In addition the more you use it the more love it gets and the more tasteful it becomes.

昭和53年に新潟県無形文化財認定を受け、現在は5代目。
当商品は、三代目の作品になります。
【紫銅焼き(しどうやき】
炎が描く赤や紫の斑紋を表面に纏わせた銅鋳物を斑紫銅(はんしどう)といいます。
溶かした銅を型へ流し込み、そして良質の炭で囲いゆっくりと温度を上げ、熱で変形し始める直前の絶妙の時を見計らい取り出します。
触媒を使用しない紫銅焼きは「本焼き」とも言われ、銅鋳物だけに施すことが可能な伝統技法です。
趣深い色合の斑紋は、火、風、銅、土、そして人とが一つになって作り上げるアートです。
それぞれの命がけの一瞬を表したかのような美しい斑紋は、一つとして同じ物は現われず、意図して作れるものではありません。
それゆえに美しさが際立っています。
また、使い込むごとに愛情が加わり趣が増していきます。
